Wild Hunting Seasons
Pheasant -- Iowa season always starts the last weekend of
October and ends January 10th.
Duck/Goose -- Dates are changed annually but duck season
is open for approx. 4 days the latter part of September and then opens mid
October to mid December. Canadian Geese generally opens at the end of September
and ends in the first part of December.
Turkey -- Season is in April and May and is picked by lottery
with application made through the month of January by calling 1-800-367-1188. (Our
zone is zone 6)
Deer -- Season is also by lottery with application
being taken mid May to mid June by calling 1-800-367-1188. (Our
zone is zone 7)
Bow season -- Usually starts October 1st and ends 1st week of Dec
. Then starts again mid December to January 10th.
Shotgun -- Season runs early December for 5 days then mid
December for approx. 9 days.
Muzzleloader -- season runs from mid December to January
10th.

Preserve Hunting
Preserve Season --Pheasant/Quail---Sept. 1-March 31-- There is no limit to
the amount of birds you can shoot and may shoot hens or roosters.
